Temperature Coefficient of Magnetic Permea - Bility within the Working Range
نویسنده
چکیده
The development of methods and apparatus for magnetic measurements capable of an accuracy of i per cent makes it necessary to consider factors which have heretofore been considered negligible. One of these factors, the temperature coefficient of magnetic permeability, is the subject of the present paper. Many workers have studied the effects of temperature on the magnetic permeability of iron and steel. All of the investigations, however, have been carried on with special reference to temperatures far removed from the atmospheric range. However, Bauer, 1 Hopkinson, 2 Terry, Burrows, and a few others have made some observations at temperatures between o and ioo° C. which show that induction curves at two different temperatures in this region cross each other. For low inductions the magnetizing force necessary to produce a certain induction decreases with increase in temperature while for high inductions it increases. The materials examined by these investigators include soft iron, mild steel, hard steel, electrolytic iron, and nickel. Ewing 5

Single phase polycrystalline Gd1-xPrxBa2Cu3O7-δ samples with x=0.05 , 0.10, and 0.15 have been prepared by standard solid state reaction technique and characterized by XRD and SEM analysis. The electrical resistivity, Hall effect and magnetoresistance measurements have been on the samples. The electrical resistivity measurements indicate a reduction of transition temperature (Tc) and an incre...
متن کاملSensitivity analysis of dependency of working fluid thermo-dynamics properties to temperature on performance of Gama-type Stirling engine
This research proposes the effect of temperature variation in the Prandtl number on the power, the efficiency and the heat loss of the Gama-type Stirling engine. It should be noted that the Prandtl number included the viscosity, the thermal conductivity coefficient and the specific heat at constant pressures of the working fluid, which the temperature dependency of such first two thermo-dynamic...
متن کاملANALYSIS OF SOME MAGNETIC PROPERTIES OF DILUTED MAGNETIC SEMICONDUCTORS
The susceptibility and specific heat experimental results of the diluted magnetic semiconductors (DMS) are incorporated in a model based on short-range as well as long-range interaction in a random may of magnetic ions. The so-called nearestneighbor pair approximation (NNPA) is applied. It appears that the calculated values of zero field specific heat and Curie-Weiss temperature based on th...

The temperature dependence of magneto-optical and magneto-photoconductivity measurements were carried out in the range of (200-330) K. A home made optical cryostat was used for the measurements. The measured room temperature value of the energy gap was found to be 2.211 eV. The temperature coefficient of energy gap was found to be -5.48×10-4 eV/K obtained by the optical absorption method and -4...
متن کاملHall Sensors for Extreme Temperatures
We report on the preparation of the first complete extreme temperature Hall sensor. This means that the extreme-temperature magnetic sensitive semiconductor structure is built-in an extreme-temperature package especially designed for that purpose. The working temperature range of the sensor extends from -270 °C to +300 °C. The extreme-temperature Hall-sensor active element is a heavily n-doped ...
